The ARTEK singers and continuo perform the complete ninth book of madrigals by the early Baroque master, Claudio Monteverdi, published after his death in 1651. This collection of small-scale madrigals include some of Monteverdi’s best-loved favorites (Zefiro torna and Bel Pastor), as well as many rarely heard duets and trios. ARTEK has been performing this virtuoso repertoire for nearly 30 years and its passion and expertise makes this a must-see event.
