“Leeds’ performance sparkled with a golden brilliance. With a voice that reached trilling and thrilling heights, Leeds mesmerized to the point that I stopped taking notes for fear that I would miss the exuberance of her delivery.”
Mezzo-soprano Kim Leeds loves engaging audiences in her exploration of life’s essence through music. Thriving in the novelty of bringing to life lesser known works, Ms. Leeds shines as a deft emotional communicator of early music and modern music alike.
2024-25 Highlights include performing the role of Penelope in Monteverdi’s Il ritorno di Ulisses with ARTEK; singing the title role in Tosi’s Il martirio di S Caterina with the Academy of Sacred Drama; appearing as a guest artist with Three Notch’d Baroque and Newton Baroque; and soloing with Upper Valley Baroque, Spire Chamber Ensemble, Worcester Chorus, True Concord Voices and Orchestra, and the Handel Society of Dartmouth.
“Leeds’ rich, attention-grabbing mezzo had no trouble standing out from the texture […] the performance was lush and heartfelt.”
